About

Between two worlds, without a box.

Daughter of a Black American Navy SEAL and a Brazilian mother from Rio de Janeiro.

Raised between U.S. military bases and the edges of Rio’s favela communities, Dove grew up close to two worlds without being defined by either one.

A self-taught musician and multi-instrumentalist, she plays flute and guitar and refuses to be boxed into a single genre, language or market.

Her story moves between the U.S., where her career takes shape, and Rio, which is home, family and sound. The name Dove stands for freedom and movement: something that belongs to the sky, not to one nest.

Her story

Choosing her own terms.

Dove’s introduction centers on the moment she turns down larger labels to sign with Mecy Music Group, her first act of self-definition as an artist.

From there, the story follows her between the U.S., where she builds her career, and Rio, for home, family and the sound that shaped her.
